SCRAPBOOKS

There was nothing I loved more as a kid than going to my grandma's house and looking through all of her old photo books. Photos she had printed and taken the time to place in a book, label with names, and dates, and reserve for memories. All of her photos were taken on film of course, a time when the only way you could view images was through physical prints.

 

Now, it's rare for people to print their photos or let alone put them in a book. If we do have books, they're all 100% printed and it takes away that special time that was taken to craft these books by hand. There is a difference in viewing prints in person. You feel the connection to the photos, the nostalgia, and creativity that all went into the book.

This is why I want to make scrapbooks for people of the images I photograph. To ensure that nostalgia lives on. To ensure that we continue to print our work and view them in a fun creative way for generations to come. So our kids (if we choose to have them) and their kids can remember who we were and who we became.
