Kassandra.
Lately I have felt inspired by the quiet of winter. After spending the last two years on a tropical Island, I missed winter deeply. There was something about the patterns, the frosty mornings, and the lack of leaves on the trees that felt like home. I used to dread the winter months and the darker + shorter days. Now, I choose to see the beauty the season brings. It is quiet. Life slows down. I know that the sun and warmth will return again, and that life was never meant to be lead at such a rapid and quick pace. I am using these months to admire what a tree truly looks like, beneath all of the fluff of summer and what the ground does when the icicles begin to form. I am cooking rich and warming meals at home and feeling inspired by the books I've stacked up in my room. I'm also enjoying the ability to layer clothes and explore my style.
The quiet of winter, the earth, the patterns, the late fall mushrooms holding on before decaying back into the soil, all of these bits of the season inspired me during this session.
Kassandra, the beautiful model, has a classic beauty to her. A way of interacting with her surroundings that brought my vision to life.
